GOD KNOWS

A few weeks ago, I shared a post and my sweet friend Lois Hollingsworth, who I met volunteering in church 15 years ago and who I haven’t seen in 10 years, read it and said she felt God asked her to invite me to her Bible Study. I agreed.

She didn’t know this but this season of life has been hard. I’ve been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stressed and sad; but I told her I’d go last night so despite feeling down I went.

The minute I walked in I felt as if someone would’ve sat me in the comfiest couch, with a fluffy, warm blanket and given me a hot chocolate to hold in my cold hands…. I felt cared for, safe and peaceful. The speaker shared biblical truths on healthy relationships, friendships specifically and here is what took my breath away… I don’t attend this gathering, in fact I haven’t been to The Chapel in Green in years, yet the one day I attend, I hear a message I needed to hear. It felt as if I had been drowning and I would’ve come up for air; so refreshed. Gosh, God is kind.

I thanked Lois for her obedience; she didn’t wait to ask me to come. I also run into my friend Jamie who led the night and I shared how God worked. She shared other details that also took my breath away. God works in the unseen . His presence and love were so tangible, He used His church to breathe life into my soul. His love for us is truly fierce and relentless.

Are you weary?

Don’t make the same mistake I keep making at times. Don’t put the weight of your circumstances on your shoulders because it belongs in God’s righteous right hand. He is the way maker, the Creator of it all! He has you (and me) and He is constantly using people and circumstances for our good. He is just SO kind!

My circumstances haven’t changed since yesterday. If anything they’ve gotten trickier. BUT I can be reminded of His truth. I’m seen, valued and cared for, and YOU are too!

Can I challenge you to pay attention too?

Notice the people He brings to your day, the conversations you have, the words that come your way… Seek Him, His word, His voice and His presence in those too. I promise you, you will notice His presence. He is truly faithful.
